Colombo International Bookfair
‘’ Books are like our friends.’’

Colombo International Book fair was held at BMICH ( Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall ) from 21 to 29 September 2019. There were 450 book shops in this book fair. This was 20th BMICH book exhibition.
I went to the book fair 21st Saturday. So many book shops were in this book fair.There were Sarasavi book shop, MD Gunasena book shop, Godage book shop, Makeen book shop etc. This book fair’s special thing was we can buy to new books. They gave books for discount.
In first, I went to the Jeya book shop. I bought to the some grammar English books in this book fair. I saw many kind of books this book shops. They were medical books, law books, management books etc.
‘ wijesooriya Publications’ is very famous book shop in this book fair. So many people went to the this shop and bought many books in this book shop. This book fair’s my favourite book shop is ‘ Wijesooriya publications.’ Profssor Wijesooriya is owner of Wijesooriya publications. I like to his books very much. Actually, his books are very interesting. So many kind of Sinhala books in this shop.
In next time, I saw the ‘ Atlas Book Shop’ in this book fair. The book shop’ s mainly focused for kids. I saw they were doing many activities. So, It is good opportunity for kids. ‘ProMate Book Shop’ is very famous book shop in the book fair People bought many exercise books inthis shop.
So, we must read the books, because books give us to very good knowledge.
